Hollywood Censorship
What is the Hays Code ( Will H. Hayes, creator)? : it was a set of industry guidelines on censorship. These guidelines governed the many films of the United States motion pictures.
What were some of the rules of censorship? : Some of the rules were that no pictures or. views shall be shown to people that may insult their moral standards, correct standards of life, and law/ natural or/ human life should not be insulted.
Why do you think Hollywood followed these rules? : Hollywood followed these rules because as badly as they wanted to share their creative ideas and opinions. They couldn't because they were limited to two options ( either follow the rules : get their movie on the big screen or/ not be successful : not being able to share their films of not following the rules)
How have movies changed today? : They don't have many limitations to share their opinions to people, but they still do have some limitations that are frown upon by the critiques of the movies. ( same-sex interactions [sex] )
