Thoreau's View of Technology

What is Thoreau's view of technology?

He isn't very happy with the creation of technology, he felt that it was poison to the world by hiding and distracting the people with known sense.

Do you agree or disagree with him?

I don't agree with Thoreau's view of technology because I think that technology is a really good resource. It's a great contributor to my life and others because we use technology for mostly everything now a days.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of technology?

Advantages:

used for travel

for communication

for entertainment

for shopping

Disadvantages:

can brake down

not very reliable

it pollutes our minds

What technology do you use every day?

  I use lights

computer

 phone

the television

Could you go without technology for a day?

. Honestly I don't think I can go with out technology for one day, the reason being that it's located everywhere I go.

Civil Disobedience

*What actions by the government are you against?
The only main action that I am against the government is war. I dislike people fighting each other.

*What is the best way to change these actions? Can you use any of the ideas of Martin Luther King Jr. or Henry David Thoreau?
One way that I find helpful is peaceful protesting. I would maybe make a huge group and have them all understand where I am coming from and make in-powering speeches just like Dr. Martin Jr. Luther King.
